The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes in the authority of the Scriptures, the entire Old and New Testament. In His Word, God has committed to men the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are to be accepted as an authoritative, infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the revealer of doctrines, and the test of experience. The King James Version Bible is paramount for understanding God's will.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is coming again soon to take His righteous people to heaven in His second advent. The Lord Jesus Christ came to this sin-darkened world, lived a sinless life of humility and sacrifice, and died for all our sins on the cross of Calvary, shedding His precious blood, for you and for me, because He loves us so very much. He rose from the dead and is in heaven now interceding for us. It was even a struggle for Our Father in heaven to let go of His only begotten Son and for the Lord Jesus Christ to be sent to this one world that sinned. He gives eternal life to them that believe and trust in Him. The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, is our Comforter, convicts us of sin, helps us in prayer, and transforms us into Christ's character.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes in the seventh-day Sabbath which begins on Friday sunset and ends on Saturday sunset, as revealed in the 4th commandment in Exodus chapter 20 and Genesis chapter 2.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes that God cares for our health, bodies, minds, characters, and eternal salvation. God also gave us the best diet in the beginning, a whole food based diet in the garden of Eden, and He desires us to return to the plant-based diet. There was to be no death in Eden.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes in prophecy, evident in the life of Ellen G. White, who wrote truth-filled books for God's people.
The Bible books of Daniel and Revelation are paramount for understanding end-time events and to be ready.
One of the few blue zones in the world is in Loma Linda California, home of the active lifestyle of Seventh-day Adventists in getting plenty of exercise, sunshine, fresh air, rest, vegetarian nutrition, pure soft water, temperance. The average lifespan there is 10 years longer and healthier.
